Hmmm... Review by Rachael
I don't want to stop eating chocolate, so I don't want to read this book. In fact I saw this book several months ago when I ordered other books and products from this site but I completely disregarded it because I love chocolate and really have no desire to stop eating it. But now I'm going to order this book and see what its all about... (Posted on 20/04/2012)

It does work Review by Debbie
I was given this book to read and so decided to have a look with no intention whatsoever of changing anything I ate at all. What an eye-opener to the practices of big business and its manipulations. When I'd finished reading it I was glad I understood more and thought it very interesting and thought no more about it. But...without really thinking about it I began to notice that I really didn't like the aftertaste chocolate left, or the way I felt after eating it; I started to recognise the emotional side of reaching for a bar and I resented the mental and emotional manipulation that I realised I'd been subjected to for so long.' Then I just stopped eating it! It is very good to not crave a substance that is bad for me; I can quite easily take it or leave it, because I don't want to eat it, which is pretty amazing as I thought I was hooked. Knowledge gives one POWER!! (Posted on 02/03/2012)

I am so easily manipulated... Review by Emma (from sweden)
I didnt realise untill I read this book how easy I was to manipulate. And now I do realise that you are to manipulating me Jason, but I choose to let you, cause I do belive that this sort of manipulation is what is needed... You can do some more brainwashing any day. Cause now I look at choklats and feel sick... Newer thought that I would not want to eat it...
What I do need is tips for when you get totaly selfdestruktive and just want to eat it becaus it will hurt you... sick I know, but it happens... (Posted on 04/01/2012) -
Freedom from the choc Review by Aisling
Hi Jason and Team.
I just wanted to drop a line and say Thank you soooo much! I have recently finished 'the simple way to stop eating chocolate' and and I feel as though someone has just flipped a switch to change how I think. I often tried to go 'on the chocolate wagon' but i would be going nuts to get chocolate until I caved and ate a whole packet of bars or biscuits whatever I could get my hands on!! It's amazing the book has helped me become more aware of my learned response to chocolate and how I eat it. And Thank you for making it such an interesting read with plenty of laughs :) I will be passing on your book to spread your word on how to take your power back !! Keep up the good work and inspiration! (Posted on 12/09/2011) -
Eyeopener Review by Vix
I knew part of my chocolate consumption was tied up in feelings of rebellion - against myself, against my partner, against my parents, against the housework, and against my own work. Its only been a week since I finished this book but now I am rebelling against Corporate Chocolate!
Up yours Corporate Chocolate - you haven't got me anymore!
I've dug out the juicer again and got the whole process of making a juice down to one song on my Ipod, which is less time that I would have spent beating myself up about eating chocolate.
So far - a result.... (Posted on 13/05/2011) -

Saving your health and save your money Review by Lieuwe Mulder
Hi Jason,
I have read six of your books, including slim for life, stop drinking 4 life easily and the simple way to stop eating chocolate. You can imagine how much it would cost me, if I would not read your books. Hundred of pounds already and thousands of future pounds will be in my wallet not buying chocolate, cookies, ice creams and other high sugared junk food. Not to talk about all the money I save from not buying alcoholic drinks in the store, wine bars and many more occasions.
In that way, you're books are a real bargain. Oh, and my health account is going sky high. Feeling so much better to be free of the chocolate trap, alcohol trap, junk food trap. And I juice everyday now.
Thank you very very much for all your insights to share with the whole world.

One Year On! Review by Nicki
Well today marks one whole year since I stopped eating chocolate. I sat down that day with this book and a (large) jar of Nutella and devoured them both!
Since then, I can proudly say that I haven't eaten any chocolate and I know without any shadow of a doubt that I never will. In fact I am completely neutral about the whole subject of chocolate, I don't miss it and am not bothered in the least if someone chooses to eat it in my presence. It is apparent that Jason has been taught by the late great Allen Carr and the methods he learned from him gave his a solid foundation on which to write this wonderful book. It is a sad sign of our society that people I meet express such surprise that I don't each chocolate, in much the same way as non-smokers were probably viewed 50 years ago. Buy this book, it works, now and for the rest of your life!!! (Posted on 01/02/2011) -
Brilliant Book Review by Jupiter
I have never written a review before but felt compelled to write a review about this book!
I have been battling with the mental guilt of eating Chocolate for so many years and this book has transformed me and my guilt!
I read the book and although I didn't stop eating Chocolate straight away one day I thought why in the world did I buy a book about wanting to stop eating Chocolate and I thought "I choose not to eat Chocolate"- based on all the facts and mental strategies that Jason talks about in this book. The facts and details had been planted in my brain, they just took a while to kick in!! The past month hasn't been the struggle I thought it would have been. Actually it has been so easy sometimes I think I should be wanting Chocolate!
Since I've stopped buying Chocolate I have realised how I have other "addictions" so have moved on to reading "Slim for life"- although I can see that the same principals apply to giving up Dr Pepper and Coca Cola, oh, and potato chips I'm struggling to apply the Chocolate logic to these other dietary cravings I have (Madness!), so I read on.
For me the challenge was having to acknowledge that I had my own little habits which needed kicking right out! After lunch a Chocolate bar was all part of my little routine!!
I can't stress enough how my guilt at eating Chocolate has been transformed since reading this book. The irony is, what Jason says is not rocket science (no offense), but he writes a book that is so logical and makes such sense I can't believe that everyone is not shouting about it! (And I assure you I am not a Jason evangelist as I have told NO-One about this book or the lifestyle change I have made! I couldn't be bothered with the hassle or being labeled a health freak- I now just decline the offers made to me with no explanation!) (Posted on 27/04/2010) -
BIG THANK YOU! Review by Donna
Hi,
I am hoping this is going to the right person. I googled Jason Vale and this website came up. Anyway, could you please pass this on to him?
I want to say a massive THANK YOU. I don't care how silly this following sentence sounds but you have changed my life. I bought your book yesterday morning, sat down with a big bar of galaxy and began to read. I had abandoned the chocolate by about page 60 the bit where you say what happens to your body. I was already angry enough with the companies after reading how they condition us.
I have gone from eating about 21 bars a week. I was given 4 chocolate oranges for Christmas and each one was demolished in one sitting. Even a box of Thorntons chocolates (how sickly are they) in one sitting. I would hide wrappers all over the place and even steal my husbands chocolate but then walk 3 villages away to buy a replacement (I don't drive). I would justify it by telling myself it was because I was burning the calories off only to buy more chocolate for myself when I got there.
If we went out for a meal, I was that person that over exaggerated how nice my dessert was. I was that person who tried to get everyone else to eat it.
I read the book in one sitting Jason as it felt like you were sitting on the sofa next to me talking to me. My husband came home last night and he sat on the sofa in shock when I said that I had binned some chocolate. I told him that I didn't need it anymore. I made the poor guy sit there for half an hour whilst I excitedly told him about your book. He said after that he would give up chocolate too. I told him not to. I said you don't want to give it up you just don't need it anymore.
The big test came last night. (Keep in mind I had only decided I didn't need it an hour or so before). My Dad phoned to tell me that a gang of lads had tried to break in to my Nan's house. She had been in and had confronted them. My Nan is only about 7 stone and imagining her standing up to these men terrifies me. Now this would normally result in a massive chocolate binge. We sat there for 3 hours waiting for an update from my Dad (he had to cut short the conversation because the police arrived). Not once did I reach for the chocolate. The amazing thing is that I didn't even think about it! Hubby eventually said you want me to get you some chocolate, will it help? I said no. All it would do is made me feel temporarily better then when that faded my Nan would still have been burgled. I said yet again I don't need it anymore.
Okay so it's not even been 24 hours but the point is that I had the biggest test last night and I didn't even struggle. I would give it up for lent every year but the 40 days would be a hellish struggle and would always result in a binge! There was absolutely no struggle. Oh and do you know what did help with my worry last night? A simple cuddle.
Thank you so much. I will be giving my book to my friend today. She came around yesterday and when I opened the door sad (due to another problem) the first thing she did was reach in to her bag and give me chocolate. So typical of what you said in your book.
Anyway, I am going to stop babbling on now as I am sure you get so many of these emails that you probably ceased reading half way down! Mind you if you had then how would you know what I just put?!)
Is there anyway I can get into helping out? I mean I so want to Spread the word! do you have a scheme for people selling your book for you or anything? Leaflets or business cards I could hand out? I know so many people that could benefit.
Oh I am going out for a special meal tomorrow I will be having fruit for dessert.
Thank you once again for helping me make this big change. I AM FREE AT LAST! J
Donna
