Veggie Special Smoothie

Juicy Ingredients

  • 2 and 1/2 apples
  • Slice of carrot
  • Slice each of red and green bell peppers
  • Half stick of asparagus
  • 1/4 stick of celery
  • 1/2 raw beetroot
  • Slice of cucumber
  • Piece of broccoli
  • 1/2 inch slice of ginger
  • Large handful of spinach
  • Large handful of watercress
  • Slice of courgette
  • Slice of lemon (unwaxed and with the rind on)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • Ice

Juicy Instructions

  • Place one apple into your blender. Add the carrot, peppers, celery, asparagus, beetroot, cucumber, broccoli, ginger, spinach, watercress, courgette and lemon, sandwich between another apple and juice
  • Add the juice to your blender / smoothie maker with half a chopped de-cored appled and the flesh of half a de-stoned avocado (the easiest way to remove the flesh from the skin is with a spoon)
  • Add ice and blend until smooth (if your smoothie is too thick - simply add more ice!)

Why this is good for you

This smoothie really is a meal in a glass - and contains more nutrients in one serving than most people will have in a week!

Don't worry if you don't have all of the ingredients - you can always add an extra slice of pineapple if you're missing a few things.

This really is a full meal so make sure you don't forget to chew!
