Juicy Ingredients
- 1 stick celery
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1 inch slice cucumber
- 1 lime (peeled with pith left on)
- 1 dessertspoon mixed seeds
- 2 apples
- 1/2 banana
- Ice
Juicy Instructions
- Simply juice the apples, cucumber, celery and lime
- Pour into a blender / smoothie maker along with the already added banana, seeds, avocado and ice
- Blend for approx 45 seconds or until smooth.
Why this is good for you
This smoothie contains all 8 essential amino acids, the building blocks for protein. The banana provides an incredible source of slow-release energy, as well as being rich in potassium. This helps promote muscle and nerve function as well as controlling blood pressure. The celery will help flush the body of excessive carbon dioxide and replace lost sodium, whilst the cucumber is cooling and excellent for rejuvenating muscles.
