Nothing quite like the taste of a ripe strawberry. These are probably the most popular of the berries and are just divine to eat as a snack. As with all the berries, they are great for the immune system and contain many anti-cancer properties.

Juice or smoothie?

Smoothie - but makes a wonderful, but expensive juice. They blend beautifully with other berries to give a delicious smoothie, rich in antioxidant and anti-aging properties. Blend with some banana and some live yogurt to give the smoothie a creamy texture.

Top Tip...

If you are a vegetarian, you can add soya yogurt to the smoothie.

Juice Study

A study published in the journal of Agriculture and food chemistry showed the antioxidant capability of components of strawberries significantly inhibited the proliferation of human liver cancer cells.
